knee surgery

last Friday they performed arthroscopic knee surgery on my left knee (not left elbow).

I woke up cold and sore, but it wasn't that bad. Baby girl and the wife were glad to see me. Took it easy for a few days.

I had the surgery at gateway, right next to the Chinese cultural center.

Just three little slits into my knee. One for the camera, one to drain, and one to take the stuff out.

They gave me a prescription for the pain, but honestly mountain biking can hurt more than this.

Jury Duty

I spent the day on a Jury yesterday. Wish I could say it was time well spent and that I felt I performed my civic duty, but I can't.

I'll summarize and speculate the case for you.

This couple had their forth child in five years.  The man was outside working on his motorcycle instead of helping out the woman with the newborn. This pissed her off causing an argument. She damages the bike and he tears her favorite neck-lass off her neck. He probably chucks it into the canal or a dumpster. She calls the cops and has him arrested for theft.

That was the case. Sure he was guilty but what a bunch of b.s. waste of our time. Anyway, I wish I knew what the judge decided for punishment.

Halloween

I don't care what they say about it. I love Halloween. It's jut the best holiday. Weather's great and it's fun for all. Without the pressure of Christmas. Baby girl had fun.

Anyway, I also came to love those San Francisco Giants. Halloween looking uniforms to boot. Props to Major League Baseball too for allowing the athletic process to happen. If NBA commissioner Stern were running things, the Yankees would be champs again. He would make sure of it. It would have been Yankees over Philly in six.  Baseball has it right, the big markets have an advantage, but if your guys outplay the big boys, they can still win.
