knee surgery

last Friday they performed arthroscopic knee surgery on my left knee (not left elbow).

I woke up cold and sore, but it wasn't that bad. Baby girl and the wife were glad to see me. Took it easy for a few days.

I had the surgery at gateway, right next to the Chinese cultural center.

Just three little slits into my knee. One for the camera, one to drain, and one to take the stuff out.

They gave me a prescription for the pain, but honestly mountain biking can hurt more than this.

colonoscopy

I have known at least one person who died from colon cancer (good old Bill). My wife had a good friend who recently died from it (good old Tom). My uncle was recently diagnosed with it, so my doctor thought it be a good idea if I go in for the procedure.

All went well. They didn’t find anything.  I don’t remember anything about the procedure. All I recall is turning over to my left side then waking up to see my wife and daughter next to my bed.  The little girl was so cute, a big toothless smile came on her face when she saw me open my eyes. I don’t even remember the ride home or getting dressed but I clearly remember the smiles on my wife and daughters faces. Indu doesn't have any teeth, but she still has a million dollar smile.

Anyways, here's my smiling baby.

joint juice?

Does this stuff really work? They said try it for a week, I did and it seems to work. I have a badly torn meniscus. Have not yet met with my surgeon. I've been told that this is an injury that will never heal, but for the past couple of weeks I have been walking around as I was before the injury.

These folks have a free 30 day supply online. Worth a shot. Also, they sell their juice for 30 bucks + shipping. Go to Costco and get it for half that if you go for it.

Probably just a coincidence. I will see what my doctor thinks.

torn meniscus

I got the results from my MRI back today and it is a torn meniscus. No, it did not occur mountain biking.

MRI of torn Meniscus
From what the doctor said, it's a bad one too.

I'll have to go through surgery or periodically flop to the ground in pain from time to time.

Think I need to go through surgery as I have a small child to carry.

Anyway, at least I know what to do.
